Montenegrin Society of British Columbia is a non-profit, cultural and educational organization dedicated to promoting Montenegrin culture by:

• organizing cultural events, family outings, and more.

• actively participating in multi-cultural, civic, and charitable events in Canada.

• assisting new Montenegrin immigrants to integrate faster into Canadian societies.

• promoting businesses of the individuals and organizations who support our goals and objectives.

• promoting web site dedicated to our organization, Montenegrin culture, and history.

• conducting public relations to the Canadian media.

Our Society was founded in July 23, 2004 as a result of a necessity of the Canadians of Montenegrin descent to have their own society where they could consume their culture and tradition coupled with Canadian values and experience, as well as a necessity for better exposure of the Montenegrin heritage in the Canadian communities.

Since the initial gathering the Montenegrin Society of British Columbia has been providing its members and supporters with information about the current events and developments in Montenegro and as well about its culture and heritage. Also, the organization has been helping its members to obtain more information regarding Canadian cultural heritage and has been trying to bind two cultures in finding common values. Our membership has been growing with faster pace as our web site recently emerged. We are working hard to achieve our objectives and goals by improving communication between ourselves, our members, and supporters and conducting better public relations.

The Society cooperates with all those organizations and individuals, including Canadian and Montenegrin institutions, who recognize Montenegrin state and the state symbols.
